Wow! I wish I had read all this before. I rented a car to go from New York to Arizona. Pretty sure it’s illegal to have tires on the car like this. I ended up having to find somewhere to exchange the car because the tire cant hold the pressure and I have it looked at it to see what was going on in both of the front tires were bald. When I called the budget number for help, they couldn’t help me and the guy in the phone said there were no budget car rental places in Oklahoma. Seriously. He must have been in another country I told him to Google it. Then while I’m driving and he knows I’m driving. He’s asking me to tell him what the address is for one of the budget places so he can look it up. I am definitely going to be contacting someone about this. About the crappy tires on the car and that conversation. Not acceptable. When I got to the airport in Tulsa where they could finally exchange the car, the guy said they never should’ve given you a car with tires like that. Yep.
