Since January 9, 2024, it is no longer necessary to make advance reservations to access one of the complex’s four theme parks. During the pandemic, the advance reservation system known as Disney Park Pass was implemented to control park capacity.
Cinthia Douglas, Director of Marketing and Sales for Latin America at Disney Destinations, considers the news to be excellent news for travel agents. Now, it is no longer necessary to reserve parks with fixed dates, which will make it easier to receive visitors. Although tickets still have specific dates, eliminating the need for reservations will provide greater convenience for agents.
This change is part of a series of improvements to enhance the guest experience. Dining plans have also returned, offering options like the Disney Dining Plan and Disney Quick Service Dining Plan for Disney hotel guests who purchase packages. The ability to plan experiences through Disney Genie Plus will also be provided to guests.Advertising
The meal plan, valid per person per day, offers two options: a more affordable quick meal plan, with two meals at Quick Service restaurants and two snacks during the day; and a more complete plan, including a Quick Service meal and a table service (standard restaurant, à la carte).
Cinthia highlights that the possibility of paying in installments is a differentiator for Latin American countries, allowing families to plan in advance and eliminate costs during the trip. This creates a more comfortable experience, with options within the parks, hotels and even Disney Springs, providing an all-inclusive feel.
Other new features include the end of restricted park switching hours with Park Hopper tickets, allowing visitors to visit another park at any time of the day (subject to capacity limitations). Free parking returns for stays at Disney Resort hotels, Annual Passholders can visit the parks after 2pm without a reservation (except Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom), PhotoPass photo downloads included with Disney Genie+ service purchase, and the return of trains to the four Disney World theme parks in Orlando.
