Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship will build on its legacy of family fun with imaginative new spaces and experiences themed after “Inside Out,” “Frozen” and more

New adventures await families aboard the  Disney Wish , which will set sail in July . From “Inside Out”-inspired treats to a picnic with “Frozen” friends and immersive shows featuring Disney princesses, villains and heroes,  Disney Cruise Line ‘s newest ship  is specially designed to offer endless fun for the whole family .

“Family is at the heart of everything we do,” said Laura Cabo, creative portfolio executive at Walt Disney Imagineering. “When we set out to design the next generation of Disney cruises , we wanted to offer families unprecedented opportunities to create lasting memories together and experience Disney storytelling in completely new ways. Whether it’s a new take on a guest’s favorite experience like our signature candy shop, or an immersive show in a brand-new location like  Luna  or  Hero Zone , there’s no shortage of family fun aboard  Disney Wish .” 

Inside Out: Joyful Sweets

Inside Out: Joyful Sweets  will awaken the sweeter side of life. At this stunning candy store inspired by the Pixar film , guests will find a bounty of gelato, ice cream, sweets and treats to purchase. In the wonderful location filled with bright colors and designed to resemble 11-year-old Riley’s mind control center, from which her emotions are guided daily – there will be colorful sculptures of the film’s five main Characters and glowing Memory Spheres lamps.

The store will offer around 40 flavors of gelato and ice cream, with artisan gelato specialties prepared daily and combined with, for example, pretzels with peanut butter or white chocolate and raspberries. Whipped cream, fruit preserves and sauces will be prepared daily to complement a wide selection of tasty toppings. 

Exclusive treats inspired by the film will include colorful cupcakes that evoke the five emotions – Joy (lemon), Sadness (blueberry), Disgust (pistachio), Anger (red velvet) and Fear (gum) – and candy-filled chocolate Memory Balls . Specialty macarons and cake pops will join the array of truffles and artisan cookies, brownies and delicious toppings.

Olaf’s Royal  Picnic

For the first time, Guests can join their favorite “Frozen” friends for a summer picnic in Arendelle during a premium entertainment experience specially designed for families with children ages 3-12 . At Olaf’s Royal Picnic, Guests will interact with Olaf, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff like never before and delight in live musical performances of beloved songs like “Let It Go,” “Fixer Upper” and “In Summer.”

The castle staff will serve delicious summer and picnic treats for the whole family. The hall will be decorated in summer splendor especially for the occasion, with a canopy of colorful flowers among the festive decor. Kids will receive a variety of gifts and souvenirs, including a reversible troll plush, a themed picnic blanket and a personalized Nordic-style mandolin, which they will use for a “Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People” special along with Kristoff . Plus, from royal proclamations to unexpected visitors, the show will be full of surprises that will make many melt.

Immersive stories and  interactive shows

As previously announced,  Disney Cruise Line  is combining innovative design and technology to create the next generation of family entertainment spaces aboard  Disney Wish :  Grand Hall, Luna  and  Hero Zone . These imaginative environments will come to life with immersive storytelling and interactive shows that put families front and center as they actively participate in the magic.

In true  Disney Cruise Line fashion ,  Disney Wish  will offer an all-new menu filled with world-class entertainment with even more Disney stories, bringing to life the fantastical worlds and beloved Characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars adventures. Families will embark on a spectacular adventure with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse aboard Disney’s first attraction at sea; will revel in a royal celebration during a dinner and theater experience with their “Frozen” friends; will join the Avengers in a Marvel cinematic gastronomic adventure; will travel to a galaxy far, far away in an all-new Star Wars experience aboard a Disney ship; will be enchanted by an original Broadway-style theater production of “The Little Mermaid”; and much more.
