Few people know, but Disneyland Park , in California, is the first and oldest of the Disney parks. It was also the only one that was designed and built under the supervision of Walt Disney, opening its doors in 1955. The place, of course, could not be left out of the celebrations around the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, a complex that “stole” the majesty of the precursor, transferring the entire universe of Mickey and his gang to the state of Florida. Check out what’s new at the California parks, which in addition to Disneyland (boutique and “vintage” version of the Magic Kingdom) has California Disney Adventure , an exclusive park in the complex and full of more radical attractions, as well as a “Downtown”, version of Disney Springs with shops, restaurants, etc. Check out everything that will happen in 2022 there:

-> A very different and impressive show, World of Color takes place at Disney Adventure park. With projections on the water and the ferris wheel and full of special effects, it will be resumed after more than two years of interruption.
-> The Californian version of the incredible Fantasmic is also back. Even if you’ve already seen it in Orlando, at Hollywood Studios, you’ll be surprised and moved again by the night show made up of colors, villains, princesses and classic characters from a Mickey Mouse dream.
-> The Main Street Electrical Parade has already had several farewells in California, but it will be back once again in 2022, this time to celebrate its 50th anniversary. She has spent seasons at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, the most recent of which ended in 2016.
-> The arrival of MagicBand+ in California surprised everyone. This will be the debut of the technology there, which was not yet used in the Disneylad Complex. The new feature promises to bring new interaction options in the parks, including interactions with night shows .
-> The huge renovation of the Downtown Disney District , which began at the beginning of the year, is another of the major renovations planned for 2022. Some establishments were closed for renovation, including the Earl of Sandwich. When it reopens, this area will have an open space for events and more restaurant and retail options .
