If you have ever been at the quiet end of South Beach (known as SoFi - south of Fifth) then you likely know about Big Pink, a retro style diner on the corner of 2nd and Collins. They serve gigantic portions of really tasty food and are in a great location. The thing I can't get past is how consistently rude, nasty and inattentive the waitresses are (I say waitresses, because I've never seen a waiter there). I have begrudgingly gone there on my visits to Miami over the years because they are literally fifty feet from my front door and serve the best breakfast dish I've had anywhere - The Big Pink's Hollywod Breakfast. I assume the management doesn't care how the customers are treated or they would correct it and I would eat there twice as often. As for now, I can only stomach the abuse no more than twice in one trip and I am considering cutting back to just one.
