So we have been looking for a decent place to eat here in Ocala. Coming from NY it’s been tough to even come close. We were chatting with some locals and they suggested Braised Onion. We expected the usual here in Ocala. To our amazement we were pleasantly surprised. Trevor our waiter was extremely professional knowledgeable and has been there 9 years. The food was beyond fabulous. He made us a suggestion of the Sunday special, country fried chicken, not on the menu, total comfort meal. We highly recommend and we will def be back.

En route to Gainesville, we decided to stop for dinner. So happy we did! Relaxed ambiance, quiet restaurant. Attentive wait staff, and excellent food at reasonable prices. (And a generous pour of wine). The short rib stroganoff was excellent, and plenty for sharing.

Absolutely amazing! My daughter had a salad with chocolate balsamic vinaigrette that was so delicious. I had the braised pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon with mango salsa, potatoes, and string beans that had delicious chunks of bacon which was absolutely amazing! So much flavor in everything! Oh and dessert. Wow, the chocolate mousse, I need another to go!You would love this place! The service was very friendly also. Highly recommend!

Party of 4 adults for dinner. It's a very nice restaurant with excellent service, Food is hit or miss, some meals were excellent while others are horrible tasting. The filet mignon was horrible, tasted old and not like a filet (looked and tasted like grilled sirloin), the brown gravy was pure salt and a good filet mignon is not paired with brown gravy. Asparagus had no taste and luke warm and the twice baked mash potatoes were old tasting at a whopping $48. I also got a bloody Mary which was just ok for $10. a glass of milk was requested and we were told they were out of milk, please see photo's. ThePow pow shrimp were very good and the other meals were all fine according to my wife and in-laws. The creme brulee was very good but the cost of the meals versus portion size and taste is just a plain insult to customers. The total bill was $230 (tip included), I can not recommend this restaurant based on my meal but the other meals were good but in my opinion you can get better food at better prices elsewhere. Please see attached photos.
