We needed a place to stay during the Daytona 500 and this was the only place available near family in Deltona and Orange City. We were not here for the race. This property is ok for a mid-range $120/night hotel but not a good value when they jack up the price to almost $300 a night. But then that is the practice for all hotels in the area. (Hampton Inn was $399!) That aside, this is an ok property. It needs updating. It took a while to check in as they are short of staff and rooms were still being cleaned. However once we got checked in, it was as described, a room with two double beds (not queen). The beds were comfortable, with soft sheets. I brought my own hard pilow which I recommed for those who don’t like soft pillows. The room was lit well which I appreciate. The closet stores are mirrored which is helpful. The TV monitor was large but honestly we could not figure out how to use the guide feature on the remote control! Not enough buttons. But no big deal. The room was compact, had good charging stations, open wifi, small one cup coffee maker, standard microwave and frig. Out the window we enjoyed watching the squirrels climb around and we admired the trees draped in Spanish Moss. Sure better than a parking lot. We were on the second floor not close to the elevator but close to laundry. I agree with others who commented that the walls are thin — yes we could hear doir slamming and conversations but not late, it was ok. Has a pool. Negative: the commode was toddler size — short! Not easy for seniors to get up from. I will be thankful when all hotels convert to 17 inch toilets! The shower had low water pressure and only a shower head, no removable arm to help wash your nether regions (😉). Right now, daily room service is on request. No big deal for us, two people. We did have to request shampoo and extra toilet paper. Breakfast is more than adequate.
