First visit for us & the other couple we were meeting & this building is also connected to a SpringHill Suites. They share the pool / patio area & parking (which there is an $8 per night parking fee that is listed as "parking garage" on invoice but it's not a garage). Lobby was clean & furnishings were up to date. Four floors & my sweetie & I were on the top floor, corner unit (double queen beds but I was hoping for a king as a platinum Marriott member). There is a mini fridge & a microwave. We were from Jacksonville & were meeting another couple from St. Augustine. There is a bar in the lobby & another on the patio (but the one on the patio was not stocked or manned when were there around 1600). Austin was the inside bar tender who made me a red sangria (sweet) & my sweetie an old fashion. Both drinks were tasty. When our friends arrived & they checked into their room, we left for our dinner reservations thinking we were going to call an Uber but were told by front desk staff that Uber services were not available on Amelia Island (strange) but there are ride transportation options & were given a business card with a phone #. After our dinner & seeing the play at the community center, we opted to sit on the patio by the pool for some conversation (it was such an unseasonably warm night for February). After about 15 minutes of being out there, a staff person came out & advised the patio closes at 2200 (10 pm) & told us to head to the lobby. This was so odd (& sort of rude). We were the only ones out there & were just enjoying some adult conversation (we were not loud, inebriated or playing music). Even the wife of the other couple we were with (who used to be a GM for Marriott) thought this was very odd. We shifted to the lobby for about another hour of conversation before heading to our respective rooms. Beds were comfortable & bathroom was spacious. I did not see any recycle bins or separation for trash & recylables (as are in some other Marriotts). There are 2 sets of elevators & each requires your room for going up (not going down). We did not have breakfast in the lobby which serves Starbucks coffees & some breakfast items (& has bistro prices).

Courtyard Amelia Island by Marriott gets an A+ from us. Spent a few days here to relax and run away. The hotel is new and conveniently located next to Fort Clinch State park and various restaurants. Our room was lovely with a balcony facing the ocean. The pool is heated and huge. The spa is delightful. Courtyard and Springhill Suites are connected and share the pool. Springhill offers free breakfast and Courtyard does not. Courtyard has a nice Bistro and pool bar that serve meals throughout the day. The only down side was that due to Covid, there was no service to change the bed linens or care for the room, However, the management of the hotel went our of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Very nice and clean new hotel. Easy access to Main Beach which is just a short walk or drive away and to downtown Fernandina Beach. Pool is big but shallow, deepest part is 4’3”. Has plenty of parking. Staff is very cordial and helpful.

The property is extremely clean and décor is updated. The staff are friendly and it was a nice touch to receive a letter from the general manager along with a welcome gift. Our room was beautiful and we had a lovely balcony view. The pool and hot tub were not crowded in the early evening. It was relaxing to walk to the beach after dinner. There are a lot of restaurant options less than five minutes away.
