Grandpa’s Pizza is the most authentic pizza I have found in Southwest Florida since we moved to Bonita in 2021. It’s Neapolitan style has a nice thin crust with no shortage of flavor. Grandpa and Grandma are there with their team when the place is open, so you always know there is quality control. The pizza flavors do not cater to those who prefer chain pizza with gobs of cheese and bland tastes. This is a small operation that does a great business, but that also means that you need to plan ahead. They will actually “sell out” all they have and stop taking orders, a testament to their popularity. There are a couple of tables in the parking lot in front of Grandpa’s, but this is a take out place. We’re lucky to be a 12 minute drive. We like ordering a little more than we need as you can air fry it the next day and that is still better pizza than anything else around. We’re away from Bonita for the summer, but have to get back for a week in July and that will, of course, include another stop at Grandpa’s.
