We decided to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary by going out to dinner something the virus has prevented for the last three months. We were pleasantly surprised to see everyone inside wearing masks unless they were eating. Tables were socially distanced from each other so we felt comfortable sitting inside! Anthony, our waiter was excellent. He explained our choices and checked on us frequently. We tried the grouper cheeks! Delicious. They were lightly fried and paired with a nice sauce plus shaved cheese slices. We tried the marinated avocado as an appetizer. A lot of delicacies, tuna tartare stuffed with cream cheese and wonton chips. Messy to eat, but worth the challenge. For sushi we had the Islamorada and the Gump. Both had distinct flavors and were completely eaten. We paired the meal with a bottle of Michael David's Petit Petit. Your entire evening was fantastic and delicious. We were in the Keys for a few weeks so we planned another night at this fine dining restaurant.

Really good experience and food here. Ordered a lot of rolls and bunch of apps. Service was good, sat at the bar with 5 others. They gave us a large sushi boat for 6 rolls. I would recommend and I would return.

My husband and I had a really nice dinner at Kaiyo. I knew the night was going to be amazing when our waiter said there was wahoo on the menu. Their wahoo sashimi was amazing, as were the salmon sushi rolls. Our server was excellent, and we appreciated all of his recommendations, which were spot on. Try the jalapeño fish “spoons”. We will definitely be back here.

You might not think of “sushi” when you think of the Keys, but this was hands down the best meal my family and I have had in a long time. Our server, Anthony, recommended options from every section of the menu. From the edamame with lemon juice and tuna tataki (don't miss it!!) to the dumplings, sunrise roll (light, refreshing, slightly spicy) and fish of the day, everything was perfectly seasoned and left me feeling sad by the time my meal was over ! They had a children's menu, but our kids (7 and 9) ordered edemame and scones and were perfectly happy! We finished off with chocolate peanut butter pie and cupcake sushi. Don't miss this gem of a restaurant!

Food was good, staff was super slow. . . we waited 45 minutes for a table because of lower capacity regulations, which is to be expected for a popular restaurant. But after we sat down, the service ALSO became slow. If you are at 25% capacity, how is the service going to be so slow? ? Also, I rate the food as good, not excellent. My sushi had hogfish and it was cooked - my husband had sea urchin and tuna and said it was excellent. So hit or miss?
