Just returned home from a week at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is on the water's edge with good views. The room was fine, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. The only criticism of the room was the level of lighting after dark. It was a bit dim. The amenities were good with excellent food in the Bar and Resturant. You could order from the Resturant menu in the Bar which was good. We used the Adventure Center for a Swim with Manatees cruise(excellent) and a Sunset Cruise(pity it was the only wet and cloudy day of our stay). Our only criticism is that the furniture, fittings and decor are a bit tired and shabby in places. Cupboard doors behind the Bar were in danger of falling off. The phone system would allow me to call long distance. When I queried this at reception, they said they were waiting for someone to come and sort it. It sounded like they had been waiting a while. However, there was a phone at reception that was free to use.

We were looking for a romantic weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. I requested the Water view room with a patio. I was given a room next to the maintenance shop with maintenance carts and maintenance guys working even though there were other rooms I could have been offered. The website boasts a beautiful pool with beautiful photos, it was closed due to renovations. The website boasts five star dining with. Additional beautiful photos, it was also closed due to renovations. The main entrance greats you with construction debris and cardboard paper for you to walk on. If they had any class they would let customers know what’s going on before taking customers money and making them wait a week to hopefully get refunded. Some people save for a special occasion, like me, that they just ruined by being deceitful because they must be desperate for money. Look, this may have been a beautiful resort at one time and may someday be one again. But it isn’t right now. Beware!

It was pretty nice. We didn't stay there. Just went for the boat tour to see the manatees. I think they need another place for the day tourists to eat other than the tiki bar. By the time we got our food. We hadn't get a box to take it with us.
