Being from Tampa, we've been to Saddlebrook dozens of times over the years. The resort is huge, the pools are great. Good place to take the kids, with the convenience of two very nice golf courses directly on property plus a kids' playground, walking path, gym, etc. They've renovated most of the rooms' finishes with exception of the kitchens, but the appliances work and do what they need, and the kitchen is not going to make or break our stays their, at least. The staff is top notch, if you have a special request, they do everything they can do accomodate, even on a tight or limited timeline. Definitely recommend this for families, group gatherings, or just a quick getaway.

The amenities were amazing, there was a bartender named Erin, she may have been the kindest person I know, she suggested a drink to me, which I found to be amazing and delicious, as well as a very fun person to be around. Not to mention that the atmosphere here was so incredible. I played golf here and I met a couple folks, that were very fun to hang around. Just all-around a fun place to be! Read less

SUNNY MSaddlebrook - Wonderful experiences
I have been to the Saddlebrook resort several times during the lost six years. It is a large property, about 500 acres I believe, from my experience it's a lush idyllic setting to relax and enjoy nature in the amenities, although for the athlete...there is most everything... I am a spa and swimming pool gal, (unfortunately the spa is closed when I was there toward end of Covid)…but for the athlete there is everything… Athletic training facilities, golf courses, tennis facility, jogging, biking, most everything… The gentleman who runs it, “TD”, is a convivial gentlemen, highly reputed and respected in the Tampa community, and he often socializes with the guests. He runs a tight ship and seems to have his pulse on every single aspect of the entire resort. The food is spectacular. I am in a position to judge as I have dined at some of the finest restaurants in the world in New York, Europe and the Mediterranean, including my favorite Le Jules Verne at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Whatever you do, don’t leave without having their clam chowder. It's the best that I've ever tasted – anywhere. Overall a wonderful experience. Looking forward to my next visit. I recommend!

I did not like that my partner and I felt bad having to tip every trip from the room to the valet because they need to pick you up whenever you want to get out. Would be nicer if there more towel holders in the bathroom. In room 113, their pop up drain is broken for the water to be able to drain… no big deal. Our room key/card did not work couple times but I really liked the room, felt like a home.

My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with our small son this week. Although the room was quite dated it was clean and offered a gorgeous view. The resort itself is picturesque and filled with a plethora of wildlife. The amenities are certainly showing their age however I met with two of the staff members (Clayton & Danielle) who meticulously attended to the pool area as if it were their own backyard. I was interested in purchasing a unit until I read the reviews today for a comparable suite located only a few hundred feet from where I stayed. I do hope the resort moves forward with renovations as I see tremendous potential in its future.
