The Sebastian Fishing Museum is located in Sebastian Inlet State Park at the Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area, 9700 South Highway A1A, Melbourne Beach, Florida, although it is physically located on Orchid Island, Indian River County side of the park. It houses historical exhibits of the local fishing industry and its influence on the area.

When visiting Sebastian Inlet State Park, you need to stop into the small, lovely Sebastian Fishing Museum - free with your paid admission to the park.
It highlights the history of fishing in the Sebastian area, and contains fascinating displays, old gear, wonderful photos, and great informative panels to review throughout.
There's also a nice small gift shop with a good selection of nautical-themed merchandise (e.g. décor, books, etc.) to purchase something to take home as a keepsake.
Overall, a great way to spend 1-2 hours out of the heat and learning about the area's fishing! Highly recommend!

This place has a lot of interesting items. We even attended a surf fishing seminar there that was highly informative. It is a great place to get info about fishing and see some of the historic fishing in the area

Great photos and relics from the past, showing how people survived and made a living from the waters of this beautiful but challenging area of the country
The location in the beautiful state park was good. Cute gift shop and interesting information. The video really needs an update at the end - very sad to learn that the fishing business in this area is essentially dead - are fished out. Some good lessons to learn from this story. They were offering a free surf fishing workshop while we were there - great information!
Sebastian Fishing Museum has a great movie about local fishing and oystering history. The movie shows the "Good Old Days" when fish were a mainstay of the local economy.
