Beautiful nature reserve 18 miles from Tallahassee, whose paved road extends its entire length until you reach the St Marks Lighthouse by the sea (Apalachee Bay).
It has several stops with retreats to take photos, plus several trails for those who like trekking.
We had our passport to the National Park to use, but no one was on duty to collect the fees when we came in. There was a self-service box, but we weren't going to leave our pass for life. We found the visitor center and the education center, but because of the CoVid, both were closed. Then we drive to the lighthouse, loving the trees and natural areas around us.
Street Marks has something for everyone - buildings and exhibitions, nature trails, fishing spots and even a lighthouse. Make sure you stop at the gift shop when you go!
