We love A1A beaches because there are so many hidden away. We look for the brown signs and turn in. If the parking lot is fairly empty, we park. The day we were here the water was rough, so we didn't go too far out. BUT...beware there is a pretty steep drop-off from the beach to the ocean and that's where the waves churn away. We watched people get in and out of the water on boogie boards, so if we come again, we'll definitely bring some. Otherwise, the beach is gorgeous and the sealife and birds are aplenty.

So peaceful and serene. Never crowded and ample parking is available. There is a shower to get the salt/sand off, and bathrooms as well. No lifeguards here however.

Treasure Shores is my favorite beach in this area, but it does NOT have a lifeguard. Therefore, it is perfect for walking the beach or for sitting and reading, as there are usually not a lot people at Treasure Shores, except for a few walkers, readers, tanners, and the occasional fisherman. (There are more people on weekends and during school vacations.) If you want a beach with a lifeguard, try Golden Sands, farther south, and if you want a beach for surf fishing, try Ambersand, farther north and just south of Sebastian Inlet State Park. No fees for anyone - real bargain! All beaches are accessed by entrances off A1A north of Wabasso and south of Sebastian Inlet. And Treasure Shores has a restroom, plus hoses to wash sand off at departure.

One of several small beach parks run by Indian River County, this one is not far from Sebastian Inlet State Park. It is small and does have a nice bathroom. For the time being there are no life guards due to budgetary constraints. Bathrooms are kept clean and serviced. Easy access to beach. Lots of parking. What else to say: It's a Florida beach. Can't get much better than that!
