U.S. Air Force Space & Missile Museum

Service Overview

THE HISTORY OF THE AIR FORCE & SPACE The Sands Space History Center, formerly known as The Air Force Space and Missile History Center, an extension of the museum, is located just outside the south gate of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The history center was renamed after Major General Harry J. ‘Bud’ Sands Jr. who originally proposed the creation of a museum at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station dedicated to its space history. Admission is free! Since the History Center is located just outside of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, no Cape access pass is required. The History Center contains historic information and displays for each Launch Complex (LC) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. To visit the rest of the USAF Space & Missile Museum, you can schedule a tour and explore our website to learn more about other artifacts and related history. A gift shop and restrooms are available inside the building. The shaded picnic area is just outside the History Center door.

It's worth spending a day downtown, beautiful ships, and lots of information. They have device, paid the part, in Portuguese for those who do not speak the language run out of information.

In Cape Canaveral we find the U.S. Air Force Space & Missile Museum, is close to the Space Center and brings together an excellent collection of rockets, capsules and so many other materials already sent to Space. It is a museum very interesting for admirers or not, how the United States invests in airspace research. It's worth a lot of visitors.

Great visit to the Cape Canaveral Light House. This is located within the secure Space Force Base so prior arrangements must be made to visit.
