ANINHA´S TIPS
FOR THOSE WHO ENJOY GASTRONOMY
In the links below, we offer hundreds of restaurant options, of all prices, in Florida. But here in this article, we only show Palm Beach, a stronghold of haute cuisine!
The region is between Miami and Orlando, surrounded by paradisiacal beaches and 39 small towns, one glued to the other, and which, so perfect, they even seem to be from a movie. Often, you leave one city and enter another without even realizing it, as if you were changing neighborhoods. This is exactly why we recommend renting a car so you can explore the entire region without missing any of its gastronomic hotspots. Check out!
Brunch at 1000 North
Opened in early 2018, the place, which has names like Michael Jordan, Ernie Els and Rickie Fowler among its partners, is already successful and has its tables well disputed, especially on weekends when its hearty brunch is served. With tables outside and facing the marina, it is the ideal place to eat very well. Brunch starts with delicious French pastry classics, a little basket that fills the eyes and the palate arrives at the table and you have to be careful not to be just in this “starter”. Among the main course options is the Benedictine egg with lobster (to eat praying!) and you can choose a side dish such as truffle fries, fresh Greek yogurt with red fruits, bacon, sausages, among others. To drink, ask for the trendy drink in Florida: frozen rosé wine or the blody mary. Brunch costs range from $42 (without alcohol, but with juice, coffee, French pastry basket and main course) to $68 or $98 with a good selection of alcoholic beverages.

Grandview Public Market, Palm Beaches
A delicious program is going to eat at the Grandview Public Market, which stands out for the diversity of options in a unique place, with 15 points occupied by small and independent producers and with very affordable prices. The urban business model is focused on the local community and is similar to what is reproduced in Chelsea Market, in New York, and Krog Street Market, in Atlanta.

Buccan, environment and food that “hug you” in Palm Beach
Chef Clay Conley, who has lived in Tokyo and worked at Chef Todd English’s operations in Boston, has an interesting repertoire of influences that helped him build the Buccan menu, where the rule is “small plate, big flavor creations”, that is, small dishes with an explosion of flavor. This concept of “smaller” portions (compared to the US standard, as we don’t think they’re that small!) is great, because it’s possible to try a little bit of everything. On the menu, a mix of seafood, meats, bites, salads and sandwiches. Our order was an agnolotti stuffed with ricotta and corn in butter ($15 small and $30 large), simple and very tasty! Last year, the restaurant took the acclaimed chef to the semi-final of the James Beard Award as the best chef in the South of the country.

Imoto, super intimate Japanese in Palm Beach
In Japanese, Imoto means “little brother”, and that’s what Imoto is: little brother of the Buccan, mentioned above. Next door and from the same owner, chef Clay Conley, the concept remains: small portions full of flavor. With some classic Asian dishes and many inventions and interpretations, it is the ideal place for a fresh meal on the island of Palm Beach. Order the small tuna sandwich with foie gras. It’s delicious!
