The original story of 5 de Mayo refers to the Battle of Puebla in 1862, when, for the first time, the Mexican army defeated France. Today, 5 de Mayo has become a day of Mexican pride. The funniest date is that it is not celebrated within Mexico, but rather in various places where Mexican expats live.
The biggest tennis event starts at the end of March and has the big clashes in early April. It is imperative to secure your tickets in advance.
