Located between mountains, hills and ecological parks, the municipality of Cunha takes on a special charm during winter . The season is marked by a delicious cold typical of mountain regions – with temperatures ranging between -3°C and 15°C – and by events that only happen during the coldest time of the year .
One of the biggest highlights is the Festa do Divino , which has more than 250 years of history. The celebration of Portuguese origin hopes to bring together crowds in novenas and religious celebrations between the 7th and 16th of July. This year, Cunha will also host the Acordes na Serra Winter Festival , which will feature musical shows between June 30th and July 23rd. The 7th, 8th and 9th of July, in turn, will be packed with lots of MPB and Bossa Nova, with attractions such as Tuia, Fi Bueno, Cláudio Nucci, Frederico Ballot and João Ormond. The third weekend will celebrate samba and choro, including shows by Carlos Lima Trio, Bruna Volpi, Laércio Ilhabela and Luana Gaudy.
To close the event in high style, the last weekend will feature jazz and blues shows. The program will feature artists such as Derico, Paulo Gazela Blues Band, Banda Soul Blue and Bloody Mery and the Dry Martinis.Advertising
In addition to the events scheduled for the season, the freezing weather invites travelers to wear warm clothes and explore the destination’s coolest attractions.
