The community of Citrus Springs is located on the northeast corner of Citrus County and encompasses 15,000 acres of prime real estate. The community is named for the crystal clear fresh water springs that exist in the area, including the Rainbow River, Florida’s second largest artesian spring.

When you ask residents how they came to live in Citrus County, they will say it was serendipity, finding something wonderful by accident. They either came to visit or were “just passing through” and discovered this treasure, off the beaten track of the busy highways and bustling cities of Florida.
